Established in the Thames Valley in 2004, we steadily gained an excellent reputation in the local area for top quality driving tuition and customer service. In 2019, we started to offer the same top quality driving tuition and customer service in the South Lincolnshire area and our office relocated from Slough to Spalding in the Spring of that year.
We offer quality driving lessons and intensive courses for learner drivers and Pass Plus, motorway and refresher/driving skills improvement training for those who have already passed their driving test. In addition, we also specialise in UK road familiarisation courses for foreign licence holders. All of our driving tuition is offered at competitive prices in comfortable, air-conditioned and well maintained modern cars with dual-controls and excellent safety features.
All our instructors are fully qualified DVSA Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) and are members of the Driving Instructors Association (DIA). They have all been fully checked by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), formerly the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and abide by the ADI Code Of Practice, so you can be assured of courteous service, quality tuition and value for money.
Our office is open between the hours of 9.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday. The office is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays. There is an answerphone, e-mail and text message service available outside of those hours for customers and potential customers to leave messages.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Above all else, we believe very strongly in providing a good service to our customers.
We give a more personal level of service than the big national driving schools. We actually do care about your progress and want you to succeed and we take pride in our good reputation and our success rate.
We will treat you as an individual and do our best to offer you the standards of service and commitment that we would expect if we were the ones learning to drive!
Our office is run by our full time office manager who has many years of experience of the driver training industry and the issues involved with learning to drive.
When you contact us you'll speak to a real person who can help you there and then..and if we don't know the answer, we'll always try to find out for you!
Our lessons are all conducted on a strictly one-to-one basis with no other learner driver in the car. Our instructors give 100% of their attention to their customer and you will get the full time that you have paid for. Your instructor won't be constantly answering telephone calls or running errands during your lesson!
You may have heard horror stories from other learner drivers about how their driving instructor used to shout at them or belittle them for making mistakes. This will not happen with Clearway Driver Training.
Our instructors are always courteous and friendly and appreciate that learning to drive is not always easy. We regard everyone as an individual who will learn to drive at their own pace and in their own way. The way we teach will be adapted to YOUR needs and what suits YOU best.
Over the years, Clearway Driver Training has trained more than a thousand people to pass their practical driving test and helped many full licence holders and foreign drivers become better and safer drivers. Don't just take our word for it though, why not take a look at our gallery of driving test passes and our testimonials page (all testimonials are completely genuine - we don't make things up!).
We do not use any trainee driving instructors to teach our customers. Trainees have only passed the first two out of the three ADI qualifying exams.
After they have passed a Theory Test and an advanced driving test, trainees can apply for a six month temporary licence to give instruction in exchange for payment. However, at this point, they have not passed the hardest part of the qualification process, the “Test Of Instructional Ability”. The DVSA set rigorous standards for the “Test Of Instructional Ability” and statistics show that the pass rate for this exam is very low - only around 30% of people pass (source: Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency).
Clearway Driver Training feels that, while a trainee instructor may well be a good driver, they may not necessarily be a good teacher.
We are firmly committed to providing a top quality service to our customers. We therefore think that our customers should be taught to drive by people who are proven to be skilled teachers as well as skilled drivers and that’s why all our instructors are fully qualified.
We don’t like the thought of learner drivers being used as guinea pigs to help someone pass an exam whilst paying for the privilege. We also don’t like the thought of learner drivers having to find another driving instructor at short notice because the trainee teaching them has failed their final exams or their temporary teaching licence has run out (and we're not exaggerating, sadly, this really happens..). Neither of those scenarios falls into our definition of "good customer service", so you won’t find any trainees here!
