If you are taking on an au pair from another country, we can offer an initial assessment and remedial driving lessons to ensure they are safe to drive on British roads with your children in the car
Our team of fully qualified Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructors are experienced in assessing the driving standards of au pairs and are able to carry out remedial training in any areas of concern.
We can help build confidence in driving on the left and assist the au pair in understanding and practicing any aspects of driving that are unfamiliar to them, such as roundabouts, one way systems, motorways and multi storey car parks!
We are also happy to undertake "frequent route familiarisation" training such as the school run and the journey from home to the supermarket, doctor, station etc.
Our au pair driving assessments and driving lessons are charged at £30. Payment can be made by cash, bank transfer, debit or credit card.
As much or as little as you want! If you would like us to carry out an initial assessment we will be happy to do so and email you a report. You can then decide if you wish your au pair to have any further training.
We cover East Berkshire, South Bucks and North Surrey including Stoke Poges, Datchet, Burnham, Virginia Water, Windsor, Maidenhead, Iver and the surrounding towns and villages. A detailed list of all the towns and villages we operate in can be found on our areas covered page.
We do ask that initial driving assessments are carried out in the instructor's manual dual controlled car for safety reasons! Please note that all our vehicles have manual gearboxes. This means that the au pair has to have a licence that entitles them to drive a car with a manual gearbox.
Once the instructor is satisfied that the au pair is competent, further sessions in your own automatic vehicle can be arranged if required.
